If you hate grocery shopping, you’re definitely not alone. Trips to the store can be time-consuming, and, let’s be honest, kind of boring. But if you’d rather spend that time doing literally anything else, there’s a solution: Hungryroot.

This online grocery platform uses artificial intelligence to learn your tastes and recommend foods and recipes you’ll actually want to eat, so there’s no store run required. Basically, it does the heavy lifting for you. Here’s how it works, plus some of the best vegan finds on its virtual shelves.

What is Hungryroot?

Founded in 2015, Hungryroot sits somewhere between a meal-planning service and an online grocery store. After signing up, you’ll take a quick quiz about your tastes, preferences, and dietary needs. From there, the platform curates personalized food picks and recipes (most require 15 minutes or less), making it easy to fill your cart in minutes. Love the setup? You can also opt into a recurring grocery subscription.

Hungryroot offers a wide selection of sustainably sourced, organic produce, along with plenty of vegan dips, plant-based meats, snacks, and treats. For plant-based shoppers, it’s pretty close to paradise.

How much does Hungryroot cost?

Because Hungry root is more of an online grocery store, prices will vary depending on the products purchased and the number of people you’re feeding. The brand prides itself on offering the lowest prices, and even claims customers save up to 40 percent each week.

According to Hungryroot, customers can make breakfast for as little as $3.99 per serving, lunch for $5.99 per serving, and dinner for $8.99 per serving.
