Starting today, Pizza Hut restaurants across the United Kingdom will launch vegan stuffed-crust pizza. The new option allows guests to turn any existing vegan pizza into a pizza that comes with a crust filled with Violife vegan cheese for an additional £2.50 ($3.25). “We’re always looking into new and exciting ways to develop our menu,” Ciara Grace, Senior Menu Innovation Manager at Pizza Hut UK, said in a press release. “The Vegan Stuffed Crust was naturally the next step for us to grow our plant-based offering at Pizza Hut Restaurants. We’re really excited to launch the Vegan Stuffed Crust as we’re confident it’s going to be a hit.”

The chain began its foray into vegan options in 2017 when it first tested a vegan pizza topped with Violife cheese. After positive feedback, Pizza Hut UK added the vegan Jack ‘n’ Ch**se pizza to the menu in January 2019 for one month to celebrate Veganuary—and kept the option on the menu permanently after selling more than 25,000 vegan pizzas in one month. Since then, the chain launched a dedicated vegan menu that continues to expand with appetizers such as Quorn-based fried nuggets, a variety of pizzas, and dessert options such as cheesecake.
