Frozen dessert brand Talenti recently launched a vegan Coconut Chocolate Cookies flavor, its first vegan addition to its Sorbetto Layers line. “This dairy-free layer [flavor] is inspired by a coconut [macaroon],” Talenti describes the new flavor. “We use real coconuts to craft our dairy-free coconut sorbetto and finish with chocolate cookies, oat crisps, and a decadent dairy-free hot fudge.” In 2017, Talenti—which is owned by Unilever—launched Peanut Butter Sorbetto, its first vegan ice cream-like option comprised of 30-percent peanut butter that creates a creamy texture similar to gelato. Talenti also offers vegan sorbets in two flavors: Roman Raspberry Sorbetto and Alphonso Mango Sorbetto. Ben & Jerry’s—another Unilever-owned brand—recently expanded its vegan options with a new line made with a sunflower butter base in three exciting flavors: “Milk” & Cookies, Crème Brûlée Cookie, and Mint Chocolate Cookie.
