New fitness and health app Centr created by vegan actor Chris Hemsworth will debut in February. Hemsworth partnered with several top athletes, nutritionists, and wellness experts to build the app, including vegan bodybuilder Torre Washington, “Plant Proof” podcast founder Simon Hill, and Hemsworth’s own personal trainer Luke Zocchi. Centr focuses on three areas of personal improvement (exercise, nutrition, and mental wellness) and allows users to customize their experiences based on personal fitness levels and dietary preferences. In the fitness category, users are guided by personal trainers in a wide range of workout options, including high-intensity interval training (HIIT), mixed martial arts (MMA), and yoga. The nutrition portion includes dietitian-approved meal plans created for particular dietary preferences, including plant-based and gluten-free. The mental wellness portion features meditation guidance created by psychotherapists and mindfulness experts. “I believe we all have untapped potential. And we all need support to achieve our goals,” Hemsworth said. “Centr puts the world’s best in the palm of your hand to help you develop a healthier body, stronger mind, and happier life.” Centr will be available on the iOS app, Apple Watch, and online, with a subscription pricing plan starting at $19.99 per month. Hemsworth adopted a plant-based diet during the filming of Avengers, following in the footsteps of his brother and fellow actor, Liam Hemsworth.
