United Kingdom-based confectionary brand Candy Kittens recently launched its candy line in 3,899 Walmart stores across the United States. The kitten face-shaped candies are made with 10 percent fruit juice and are free of gelatin, palm oil, and carnauba wax. The line features all-vegan flavors such as Blueberry Bliss, Sour Watermelon, Tropical Mango, and Wild Strawberry—with the exception of Eton Mess, which contains beeswax. The company also uses carbon-neutral production and recyclable packaging.
“A big part of my inspiration to launch Candy Kittens was following a trip to the States and visiting the incredible candy stores there, so to be listing in one of the biggest retail stores in the US feels like everything has come full circle,” Candy Kittens co-founder and reality TV star Jamie Laing told trade publication Confectionery Production. “It’s such an exciting time for Candy Kittens, and this feels like one step further in creating what we had envisioned when we first launched,” explained Laing of his confectionery series.
The brand’s launch in Walmart stores follows its listing in other American retailers including Barnes & Noble and Bloomingdales.
