Vegan-Neck Tattoos Are the Hottest Runway Accessory at Stella McCartney’s 2019 Fall Show

Temporary tattoos that read “vegan” and “fur free free,” among other slogans, were featured on models on the runway for Stella McCartney’s show during Paris Fashion Week. The tattoos were applied by celebrated makeup artist Pat McGrath to the models’ ear lobes, face, and necks to send a cruelty-free message during the show. “It’s simply Stella,” McGrath described the unconventional accessory. McCartney’s newly unveiled Fall 2019 collection includes a variety of faux fur coats, vegan leather boots, bags, and trench coats, and flowy dresses in bright colors and prints. Last year, McCartney partnered with Adidas to recreate its iconic Stan Smith sneakers without animal products—a style that attracted high-profile customers such as Madonna and Duchess of Sussex Meghan Markle.
