Vegan Singer Gabrielle Aplin Creates Animal-Free H&M Line

English vegan singer-songwriter Gabrielle Aplin recently collaborated with fashion retailer H&M on a limited-edition, animal-free collection of t-shirts, a sweatshirt, and a hoodie. Made from 100-percent cotton, the collection—which will soon be available in H&M stores and online—is themed around Aplin’s upcoming album Dear Happy, slated for release early next year. Aplin is the first musical artist to be featured through the retailer’s music partnership that will see it support independent musical artists and rising talent. “I am so excited to be working with H&M. To be the first artist to be involved as their H&M music artist is amazing,” Aplin told VegNews. “I have also designed some merchandise with H&M, the designs are sustainably made from organic cotton which was very important to me and I love how they turned out. I’m looking forward to playing a small intimate gig for them on October 3 in London to celebrate the collection and Dear Happy.” Aplin—who has already topped the UK and international charts— went vegan in 2014 and is an advocate for animal rights and the benefits of a vegan lifestyle, which are highlighted in her YouTube vegan cooking series #FoodWithFriends.
