Vegan Youth Camp Empowers Young Activists

Since 2009, the Youth Empowered Action Camp (YEA) has brought together young people from all over the world for a week of educational workshops, activist training, and social activities. Designed for kids who want to make a difference for such issues as animal cruelty, climate change, bullying, homelessness, or any social justice cause, YEA camps are designed to give them the tools they need to become effective advocates in their communities. Founded by long-time animal activist, Nora Kramer, camps are located in California, Portland, and Massachusetts and serve only organic, vegan food. YEA’s final summer session—held in Charlton, MA—begins this Saturday, August 9.
