Plant-Based by Nafsika, a new vegan television show billing itself as “the world’s first vegan lifestyle TV series,” is readying for premiere on A&E’s FYI Network this summer. With a reach of more than 70 million viewers, the show—hosted by plant-based mogul and longtime-vegan Nafsika Antypas—will feature cooking demonstrations, doctors, nutritionists, celebrities, fashion, and entertainment. “Viewers will receive a well-rounded perspective of the vegan way of life and see that making a choice to omit animal products from their diet and lifestyle is a positive thing to do, both in terms of personal health and for the sustainability of our planet,” stated a press statement for the show. Plant-Based by Nafsika debuts as interest in vegan living is surging, with vegan-friendly bakeries featured on national food shows and new reports finding the vegan population tripling to 360 percent in a decade.
