Model-turned-food-personality, Chrissy Teigen, just launched a comprehensive line of vegan home cleaning products. The Safely brand promises a range of plant-based products “that actually work” without the use of harsh chemicals. Products include hand soap, laundry detergent, sanitizer, universal cleaner, and more. Teigen joined forces with reality television star, Kris Jenner, to announce the news on Instagram. Always one to follow for a good laugh, Teigen pokes fun at herself in the video, offering up outlandish pitches to Jenner until she lands on the idea of “Hand Jobs by Kris Jenner,” which Jenner quickly corrected to Safely.

Is Chrissy Teigen vegan?
Neither Teigen nor Jenner are vegan, but Teigen often praises plant-based products and sustainability initiatives. When Los Angeles went into the COVID-19 pandemic lockdown last March, she made a bargain with a fellow Los Angelino to bring her fresh romaine lettuce in exchange for her offering of vegan food. In 2019, she ignited a Twitter storm by declaring she was “Tofurky curious” and was tempted to serve it at her holiday table. The year prior, the self-proclaimed “not vegan” gushed over her love for the Impossible Burger on an episode of Ellen after sampling it at the host’s sixtieth birthday party. “It was amazing. It was so good,” Teigen raved.
The star’s personal blog, Cravings, also includes a dedicated section to vegetarian recipes. While many of them contain eggs and cheese, vegans can find comfort in a few plant-based one-offs such as the Japanese “Creamed” Greens and Oven-Baked Falafel Sandwiches.
Safely products are available exclusively online. All packaging is recyclable and intended for multi-use to uphold the brand’s sustainability initiative.
