The American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals is one of the many organizations that has come to the aid of animals affected by Hurricane Sandy. The organization has been tirelessly searching for trapped and stranded animals to help them find safe ground. Similar to the ASPCA’s efforts, many other animal-welfare and rescue organizations, including the Humane Society of the United States, have been saving animals in need from the storm’s aftermath. On Wednesday, The Huffington Post published a slideshow of Hurricane Sandy animals that have been saved by firefighters, rescue workers, and other concerned citizens.
