This week, vegan brand Lightlife Foods announced the retail expansion of its new plant-based grounds, sausages, and burger patties to Target, Publix, and Kroger stores nationwide. Lightlife’s new vegan meat line made its retail debut this May at select United States locations of supermarkets such as Safeway, Vons, and Wegmans, along with 3,400 retail locations in Canada. This expansion doubles the distribution of the new line to 12,000 stores. “Lightlife has four decades of history in plant-based foods. We’re thrilled to take our years of expertise and innovation to more shoppers across America by expanding Lightlife into retail stores like Kroger, Target, and Publix,” Dan Curtin, President and CEO of Lightlife’s parent company Greenleaf Foods, said. “Lightlife fans have been vocal on our social channels, asking for the new products in more grocery stores locally. We are committed to fulfilling demand and providing customers high-quality plant-based products.”

This month, game and food chain Dave and Buster’s—which added the Impossible Burger to its menu in 2018—will also offer a prepared Lightlife burger ($13.99) and allow customers to substitute the vegan patty into any burger on its menu for $1.99. In addition to retailers and restaurants, Lightlife burgers are available at sporting arenas such as Chicago’s Soldier Field and the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum.
