Miley Cyrus Plays Pop Star in New Season of Black Mirror

Vegan actress and singer Miley Cyrus will play a pop star in one of three episodes of the acclaimed Netflix series Black Mirror. The trailer for the fifth season of the tech-thriller was released this week and depicts Cyrus as a fresh-faced singer who undergoes a transformation, donning a lilac wig, to please her 20,000 fans—a role Cyrus is familiar with playing both in her real life and as secret teen rockstar in Disney series Hannah Montana.

“Been a pretty exciting day. Thanks for all the Black Mirror love,” Cyrus posted to social media after the trailer was released. In addition to appearing in Black Mirror—which will be available for streaming on June 5—Cyrus will release her newest album, rumored to be titled “She is Coming,” on May 30.
