Accidentally vegan cookie brand Oreo created a limited-edition cookie inspired by pop star Lady Gaga’s new Chromatica album. The vanilla-flavored, pink-tinted Golden cookies are stuffed with green-hued crème filling and are embossed with images from Lady Gaga’s sixth studio album. The new Oreo cookies will be available at convenience stores in six-packs in January with larger packs to launch later next year. Oreo created a Lady Gaga x Oreo Stan Club to keep fans updated about the release.
Spreading cheer through music
In addition to the limited edition cookie, Oreo and Lady Gaga will launch the “Sing It With Oreo” campaign to encourage fans to send messages (or “OREOgrams”) to loved ones through the cookie company’s new website. Starting December 15, fans can record personal messages on the website, which transforms them into songs, for the chance to win prizes that include Lady Gaga swag and future concert tickets. “Whether it’s to show support, share affirmations, well wishes or congratulatory messages, Lady Gaga OREOgrams are designed to inspire kindness,” Oreo said.
Other vegan projects
While Lady Gaga is not vegan, the pop star launched vegan makeup brand Haus Laboratories last year which features an array of bold-hued lipsticks, eyeliners, and eye shadow palettes. In 2017, Starbucks introduced The Cups of Kindness collection, a line of four, limited-edition vegan drinks created to benefit the Born This Way Foundation, the singer’s youth empowerment organization.
