Indraloka Animal Sanctuary in Dalton, PA recently launched four new ways to virtually interact with its rescued farmed animals. The new plan has been implemented in response to the global COVID-19 challenge, which has required people to stay home and businesses to close. Since Indraloka has had to close its doors to the public at this time, the new virtual plan aims to keep supporters connected to the animals.
The virtual interactions include an online meditation series featuring the artistry of filmmaker Johnny Braz and the natural setting of the sanctuary; an online education initiative that is an extension of the sanctuary’s Hopeful Heroes Program, bringing field trips, activities, and animal interactions to children online; Animal Pen Pals, which works through traditional mail and email; and a Sanctuary Stories that Save Us podcast. Each initiative is provided for free for the duration of stay-at-home orders, but the sanctuary will gladly accept donations to help cover the cost of care for the animals at this difficult time.
