United Kingdom-based brand Livia’s Kitchen will debut its Dunx line of vegan cookies at 600 Tesco stories on February 18. The new gluten-free line is similar to iconic American snack Dunkaroos and features oat-based cookies packaged together with sweet dips in three flavors: Caramel Almond Swirl, Choco Hazel Crunch, and Peanut Butter & Jelly. “Dunx is a really exciting launch for us as there really is nothing else like it on the market,” Livia’s founder, a former neuroscientist, Olivia Wollenberg said. “Who doesn’t like to dunk their cookies into something delicious? We know there is [an] increasing demand for better-for-you indulgent treats that deliver on taste and that is what we always guarantee.” Thanks in large part to its executive chef and Director of Plant-Based Innovation Derek Sarno, Tesco has stocked its shelves with a growing number of innovative vegan products in recent years, including Vivera’s vegan steak and Sarno’s own ready-meal brand Wicked Kitchen—which sold 4 million units within 33 weeks after launching in January 2018.
