Vegan Macaroons Debut at 3,800 Walmart Locations 

Vegan coconut cookies by Emmy’s Organics will debut at 3,800 Walmart locations nationwide this month. The macaroon-like cookies—made with organic coconut, almond flour, cold-pressed coconut oil, and agave syrup—will be available for $3.99 per 4-ounce pouch in Vanilla and Peanut Butter flavors. “We’re thrilled to team up with Walmart and give shoppers a high-quality snacking option they can feel good about,” Emmy’s co-founder Samantha Abrams said. “Delicious, high-quality, and responsibly-made, our superfood bites are the perfect replacement for the typical processed cookie.” Emmy’s produces its cookies in a solar- and wind-powered facility and uses recyclable packaging. Last week, Walmart began stocking vegan Sour Patch Kids cereal which mimics the taste of the accidentally vegan candy by the same name.
