A sign promoting veganism at an Amsterdam airport Starbucks was recently spotted and posted to Reddit. The signage features “barista’s top five choices” listed under a text that reads “#GoVegan.” The five drink options the branch is promoting as vegan are Coconut Matcha Latte, Almond Cold Brew, Shaken Infused Ice Tea, Rwanda Mushroom Latte, and Soy Chai Tea Latte—the latter of which contains honey in the US. In 2016, Starbucks added almond milk to its menu and has since promoted beverages made with plant-based alternatives. In June, Starbucks debuted four vegan food options to its United Kingdom locations. The brand’s Chief Operating Officer Rosalind Brewer announced in March that a plant-based food line was forthcoming to United States Starbucks locations by the end of the year.
