We hate to break it to you, but Christmas is this week. It seems each year the holidays fly by faster and faster, and there is just no way to get everything done in time. If your stockings are unstuffed, your Christmas tree is empty, and you have nothing to give as a hostess gift, try not to have a panic attack. Though we here at VN have been done shopping for weeks (read: haven’t started yet), we have compiled some cruelty-free gifts for all the last-minute shoppers out there (ourselves included).

As Easy as Etsy
We are mildly obsessed with all the adorable offerings at Vegan Etsy, from charming ornaments to a paper butterfly garland. But the shipping speed depends on the different sellers, which can be worrisome when you needed a present, like, yesterday. That’s where the beauty of Etsy’s Geolocator comes in. By typing in your location, the site directs you to sellers in your area, and chances are you may be able to pick up your items directly, rather than relying on the mail. Genius.

Cookbook Collectors
One website that never seems to fail when it comes to speedy shipping is Amazon, aka vegan cookbook Mecca. Give the gift of good food all year long from some of your favorite cookbook authors. Try the festive new Party Vegan by Robin Robertson, VN’s Cookbook of the Year Viva Vegan! by Terry Hope Romero, or give the gift of good health with Isa Chandra Moskowitz’s new Appetite for Reduction, just to name a few.

Yours Truly
Are you too short on time to even consider wrapping all the presents for the people on your list? Then why not gift a VegNews subscription! Six issues of fabulous food, fashion, travel, and so much more, all without ever having to lift a finger. And here’s the best part: For the holiday season we’re offering gift subscriptions at a discounted rate of $15! While you’re at the VN store, check out the other fabulous gift offerings we have, such as Sarah Kramer’s 12-month calendar!

Baked with Love
This time of year, everybody has a sweet tooth. So if you’re short on time and money, try whipping up a few desserts and wrapping a ribbon around them. Other great cookie options include Snow Flakes, Chocolate Sugar Cookies, and a more options than you can imagine in our VN Holiday Cookie Collection. Or if you’re headed to someone’s house for dinner or a party, bring a decadent (but easy!) dessert, such as the chocolate truffle cake! We promise, no one will want to return these gifts!

Tipsy Under the Mistletoe
‘Tis the season of indulgence, and if the person you’re gifting enjoys a festive tipple, then now is the time when a bottle of Champagne is a perfectly acceptable Christmas gift. More of a wine connoisseur? Check our wine guide for all the acceptable (and best) vegan wines. Want to give the gift of relaxation with a pack of beer? See our beer guide for some excellent ale. And if you want to get a little more creative, our holiday drink guide has all the best spiked drinks you can imagine.

Whatever you gift this season, don’t forget that it’s never too late to make these the best holidays ever.
